A market map, not a pay-to-rank list

AI Dou Xing is an independent catalog of AI models. We don't sell spots in the lineup and we don't take money for ratings. The goal is simple: help you pick the right tool for a specific job instead of drowning in vendor marketing.

How we pick models

The catalog covers models people actually run in production: flagship language models and the leading image and video generators. We look at independent measurements — intelligence indexes, human-preference arenas, domain benchmarks — plus availability and price, and translate all of it into plain language.

Three families

The market splits neatly into three parts, and we color-code each one. Language models handle text, code and reasoning. Image generators cover still graphics, from concept art to photorealism. Video models handle moving images with sound. Each family has its own leaders and its own trade-offs.

Honest about limits

Every card has a "Limitations" block — on purpose. There is no perfect model: the one that writes brilliant prose may lose on pure reasoning, and the price leader may trail on motion physics. Weak spots matter as much as strengths.

How often we update
